hello Professor, i tried uploading my app to the gallery but it kept me on the same page after clicking on the save application button, i never showed me any progress or anything to assure me my app is saved and when i tried moving around and came back to my apps pages, i found it as i left it, should i assume its saved or? however, used the URL to register my app for the competition, i hope its okey. thank you

OOOh i think i got the problem, i had wrtten a tag in the tag box but had not added it to the big box, it has now showed me processing, am now very very happy and smiling

Hello,

I submitted my entry form and uploaded my app to the gallery this evening.  However, I can no longer open my app in the gallery.  I receive an error message stating "Async(undefined) exception: Error -32603: Method threw an error: InternalError: Can't find method....."

This is the app I am trying to access:

Is there a way to fix this error so that my app will be able to be reviewed for the contest?

I have tried the link to your app and it works perfectly fine. Maybe it's something wrong with the browser?

The judges for the Contest should be able to see it.

Thanks for checking the link.  It is working for me now too.  I had tried checking last night using different browsers and computers and could not view it.

Thanks a lot for reporting that bug. Was the error message saying something like this: "Error -32603: Method threw an error: InternalError: Can't find method com.google.appengine.api.
memcache.MemcacheService.put(string,string,org.mozilla.javascript.Undefined). (./build/script/appengine.js#30451)."?

If so that was a minor bug that caused by caching, but it will go away after midnight everyday, magically. ;) And no worries, we are fixing that bug on the next iteration to ensure your quality gallery experience. Thanks and have fun with the App Contest!

Hi, how long does the gallery typically take to process an app after clicking "Save Application"?

Hi Katilyn, that was actually a little bug in the current gallery. All your changes is actually saved right after you clicked "Save Application", it just keeps showing the "Processing" status to confuse you. If you refresh, you can see that changes have taken place on your app. We will be fixing this in the next version, thanks for pointing it out!

I just saw this posting for the contest and am very excited. I have submitted everything required, except that now I am waiting on approval for the gallery in order to upload my app. Is there anyway to expedite this process so that I can upload before tonight's deadline?

Hi MCRabbit,

Dave checks the form and add new users who fill out the form to the gallery on a daily basis.

So if you have already done so, don't worry too much. I'm quite sure you'll be added before the contest ends.

Hi Jess. Thanks for the note. I would like to run another contest and will run the idea by the MIT folks. Maybe for a december announcement of winners.

Vince, can you make sure to change Jess's name on the contest winners.

Also, Jess asked about showing "liked apps" somewhere. Here was his idea:

"I have many students posting their apps on the Gallery, and I do my best to download their apps, make a comment, and "Like it." Would it be possible to add a feature to the home page where a logged in user can see a list of apps that they like?  This would be very helpful."
