I wanna place a link to another card from the current card(while viewing it).
Anyway to do this ?

No, this is not possible with Anki.

hi Eginhard.

sorry to hear that. :/

This is a very usefull feature and it is common to provide links to further info in for example language related stuff, where the cited word has its own card .

is it okay if i post a feature request for this at the Github forum ?
what do you think ?

many thanks

It's not something that would be implemented in Anki (and you'd have to bring this up in the Anki Desktop forum where you'll get a similar response) because it's out of the scope of a flashcard program. Flashcards help you to learn information, but they aren't reference material where you look something up. Your flashcards should contain all necessary information, so that you can quickly review them and don't need to go and look stuff up while reviewing.

many thanks

Hi Eginhard
yes thats partly true what you say; but on the other hand, the program has a way to add links to online websites for that very purpose! ...to lookup stuff

Thanks

One way of doing it (a dirty workaround) would be adding to each card a unique Id (e.g. "966972d7-1087-4571-aa03-e42e906260ba"). After that it is posible to find that note using "search" by entering such id (you can differentiate the "link" from the "source" by adding any prefix\postfix to the "source", e.g. [966972d7-1087-4571-aa03-e42e906260ba]).
