Hello All;

OK, I am looking at different Streaming Media Servers, and I came across this one.
I have installed SHOUTcast, and have tried ICEcast as well.
I have SHOUTcast actually running on my 2016 Server.
But am wanting something different and easier to work with.

So, my question for the group is this.

Is Ampache a "Streaming Media Server" in the sense, that it can run on a website.
And be like a Live Radio Station?
Where you can have multiple Channels set up, with different playlist on each channel.

And the music is NOT downloaded to the clients computer, but Streamed to them.

Thanks All
Wayne

Check out https://github.com/ampache/ampache/wiki. It indicates that
Ampache can act like an ICEcast server, has channels and can even
broadcast similar to a radio station, but I haven't checked out these
features myself. Other users have.

It may not have fully functional features such as an ICEcast server
probably has, but features are improving all the time.

Thanks Ernie.
Do you know if you can connect a SQL Server to the Ampache?

I believe only mysql can be used as described in
https://github.com/ampache/ampache readme.md.

I don't think PHP has drivers for SQL Server.

Also, Ampache implements mysql in the code.
