Hope y’all had a happy and safe 4th of July. I know we did with the twins in Wilmington. But now it is time to pedal away in the heat. Bring your water bottles, brain buckets, sunscreen and safe attitudes tomorrow. We’ll roll out at 9:00 am from Main Beach.
I would also like to thank the better half of the tandem for subbing for me last week. ( Not you skeeter) And here’s to hoping Don E makes a speedy recovery.

Thirteen registered but Gus had to see the dentist so twelve rode. But a newby, Mike J, joined us at the fort and rode with us most of the way. I suspect Dr J and our El President talked him into joining NFBC. It was a three water bottle day for me. Plus a popsicle when I got home. No flats or mechanicals to report.
I’ll be visiting my mom and siblings in Washington state before going on an Alaska cruise the next two weeks so I will be looking for subs. It will be interesting visiting Alaska when it is not 50 below and not wearing my
U S Army uniform.

Alaska in July? How nice for you! It's "only" 103 degrees in my backyard, as I type. Glad we rode earlier in the day!
