Hi,

I've refreshed the developer's tools server ( https://development.alpinebits.org/ ).
_

I've finally found the time to refactor the old validator so I could consolidate it into this server.
This means the old validator at

is now considered deprecated and will be shut down Oct 31 2017. Thanks to TIS/IDM for running it
during the last years!

The new validator at

is easier to use interactively and has a cleaner interface for batch use. Unfortunately the new
(cleaner) interface is not compatible to the old interface...

The new validator already supports version 2017-10!
_

I've also improved the test server, that now uses the new validator interface internally so it will validate
against everything (OTA+XSD+RNG), not just the XSD file. The test server will support 2017-10 very soon too.
_

Last but not least I've made all the end points more uniform: the AlpineBits version - be it part of the URL
or a parameter value - is now consistently spelled with a hyphen (2014-04, 2015-07, 2015-07b, 2017-10).
_

I'm still working on the server and I'll be back with more updates soon.

Happy testing :)

-- Chris.

Hi,

the long awaited protocol test client is now also available:

PS: please remember to switch over to the validator at https://development.alpinebits.org/#/validator - the old
one will be retired in a month.

Hi,

the protocol test server endpoint is now also available for 2017-10:

Of the four services on that site, only RTApp is still
missing the 2017-10 version. This will be added soon.

Hi,

sorry, this took longer than expected...

I've just uploaded a first release of rtapp-201710 to github:

https://github.com/alpinebits/rtapp-201710/archive/1.0.0-rc.1.zip

This is 1.0.0-rc.1 - according to my own tests it should be feature complete
with AlpineBits 2017-10.

It'd be great if some of you who already did an implementation could test
your code versus rtapp-201710 and report what you find.

Once this is done, I'll integrate rtapp-201710 into the developer page
( https://development.alpinebits.org ) so everybody can use the new RTApp
also as a service or via the web form.

Usage is exactly the same as with the previous RTApp, which of course will be
kept as well.

If you test this and find problems, please report:

- the parameters
- the input rateplan XML file
- the output you got
- the output you expected

In case you don't find any problems, also let us know.

Thanks :)

Did anybody have a look?

Comments?

Thanks & Bye,
Chris.

Hi Chris,

I’ll check your new rtapp-201710 in the next month or so… then I let you know!

Hi!

Thanks to Luca R. and Uli S. who found two problems and suggested a new feature,
I've update rtapp-201710 to 1.0.0:

rtapp-201710 v. 1.0.0 (released 2019-03-31)

    - bug fix: rtapp erroneously rejected MinOccupancy = 0 in Offers (ref.
      standard document PDF p. 58)

    - bug fix: rtapp did not handle the values SetForwardMinStay and
SetForwardMaxStay for attribute MinMaxMessageType (ref. standard document
      PDF p. 50)

    - added feature: rtapp now honours the Min/MaxAdvancedBookingOffset attributes;
the booking date can be given to cli.js with the new, optional -b argument
(the default value is the current date)

The new version is available at the usual place at:

Again, you have all the options: you can try it out online, use it as a
webservice or download the code and run it yourself (via CLI or as a Node.js module).

Regarding development.alpinebits.org, please also note that the validator and
protocol test client/server has been updated to 2018-10. All older endpoints are still
available too.

Hi,

i've update rtapp-201710  to v. 1.1.0. It can now handle
also protocol 2018-10 with the additional and optional -p switch or pv parameter.

As usual, everything is here:
