I got acquainted with Dan Parvaz at an RID Conference, I think in New Orleans,. I was amazed at his fluency of several languages, especially in Turkey and Caucasian region of Russia. And "now he adds an ASL feather to his hat with multicolored feathers" I said to myself.

I don't know if he wrote articles about comparative interpreting and use of specialized vocabulary from different languages on deafness and sign language interpreting.

I am grieved of the loss of a remarkable individual and colleague.

I wanted to share the news that one of our members, Dan Parvaz, passed away
last Saturday.
His family and friends have created a memorial for him that will be
