Sub: Invitation for celebrating International Day for persons with
disabilities on Third December 2019.
Dear All,
Greetings from JNU Visually Challenged Students Forum- Jawaharlal
Nehru University, New Delhi/110067.
As you all know, The JNU visually challenged Students forum is a
non-registered voluntary body which is constantly engaged in making
JNU as the paragon of accessibility, inclusivity and sensitivity
towards the needs of students with disabilities. Carrying on with the
legacy, this year as well, The Forum feels privileged in extending a
cordial invitation for the celebration of International Day of Persons
with Disabilities on 03/12/2019 from 3 PM to 5 PM in the Kaveri Mess
Hall, Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi-110067.
In order to mark the Occasion, In the afternoon gathering at the
Kaveri Mess, we are organizing a panel discussion on “ensuring
inclusive and equitable environment for persons with Disabilities in
the Education and employment sector in India”. There will be Mr.
Martand Jha, PHD Research Scholar JNU, Mr. Nikhil Jain, President
–Sambhavana and Mr. Jagdish Chander, Associate Professor at Hindu
College Delhi University in the panel, which will be followed by a
short round of question and answer session. with this event we want to
make sure that environmental and social BARRIERS are identified, where
we can help each other to work together to overcome them. *Call out
barriers wherever you see them, and work with us to overcome them*.
