the youtube package and shortcuts.

Hello; I'm grateful that the volume percent speech has been added but I
don't use the youtube package myself. I prefer using youtube without the
package.

But, when I tried it today to try out the volume controls, I noticed
that the alt c, h k or p shortcuts don't work.

I'm using the latest version of Firefox with the latest version of NVDA.

As for the length of videos and how long you have left, I'm thinking
pressing alt c, then l for length and r for remaining time would be good.


I honestly am not a big fan of the alt c shortcut but I can't think of
any other way of using the shortcuts because most of the ideas I had
would interfere with NVDAS' keystrokes.

Thanks Bradley.  We'll take a look at those Youtube shortcuts.  We want to know if Youtube is good enough now (they made improvements themselves after we started scripting it).  

You want to know how long a video has to play, right? I think we can manage that.  Perhaps the documentation is not clear.

Hello; with NVDA I feel the youtube package isn't needed. You can press the NVDA plus shift plus space keys to toggle single letter navigation mode. What this does is allow you to use k for pause, l for fast forward, j for rewind and m for mute.

We checked the Youtube shortcuts with the same configuration as you - latest Firefox version and latest NVDA version. We found the Alt+C shortcut menu to be working.

It is likely that the scripts had not yet run on the Youtube page you were viewing. After updating your package preferences, you will need to reload any pages to see the changes made.

If the issue persists, regardless of reloading, please submit a report for the page in question, and we will be able to assess the issue better.

Hi,

I just wanted to add, that there is an option on the F123 Access menu to
report problems with a page. In Firefox, you can easily open the menu
with Alt+3, and in Chrome with Alt+0.
