Your feature requests

Hello everyone,

I would like to know what functionality you would like to see
implemented in Web WhatsApp, that is not yet being provided by F123 Access.

For example, we have received a number of requests for a change in the
behavior when one clicks on a conversation. Right now you are taken to
the edit field, but many want the focus to go to the first un-heard message.

Are there other features or fixes you would be interested in?

if it is possible, i need a progress bar or some kind of symbol, that
can show the current process that is ongoing. like, if i atach a
video, there should be something which tell me that the uploading is
going on. or if i send a long voice message, an indication should be
found somewhere which report the ongoing process of uploading
contents.

Thank you for the suggestion Abdullah. I suspect such a feature will
depend more on the interaction between the web browser and the screen
reader, being outside the reach of F123 Access. But maybe there is a
way. I will talk with our developers.

Dear Abdullah,

if you have specific examples of web pages and links where this type of
information would be helpful, please send us the web addresses with
comments describing the difficulty. This will help us test ideas on
specific cases.

gmail and facebook are the main examples of it. when we attach a file in a mail, our screen reader automatically read the progress of the uploading. same thing happened on facebook when we upload a video.

I do not understand the request. You are saying that the screen reader
already informs us of the progress of the upload. What would you like
changed? I thought that this is what you wanted.

i said, the screen reader is saying the progress of upload in gmail attachment by default. it is not affected by f123access. but it should read the progress in whatsapp web while uploading something, and this kind of feature should be included in the f123access add-on. there is no need to include it for gmail, because it is already there without the add-on even. but it should be available in whatsapp web with the add-on enabled.

Another thing about f123, the emoticons menu on whatsapp web is still unaccessible. Means, when we press enter on emojies button just above the text area, our screen reader just said blank blank by navigating with the aerrows afterward. It has to be fixed also as a secondary priority.

Thanks for the suggestion Abdullah,

The problem with the emoji is that, given the way the Web WhatsApp team
designed that feature, there is currently no way for us to make it
accessible.
