Inge's headline result is that the assumption of a universal inaccessible variable phi — one variable such that every accessible variable is a function of it — can be dropped from his basis. PV-REC arrives at a closely related conclusion from the opposite direction. PV-REC splits Assumption 1 into two halves:
So Inge finds phi is unnecessary for the kinematics; PV-REC finds phi is unavailable for the dynamics. He drops it for economy, I drop it by theorem. I find it striking that both programs independently concluded the universal-phi picture is not load-bearing. (Amusingly, his surviving example of phi — the Bloch-sphere vector with theta^a = sign(cos(phi,a)) — is essentially Bell's 1964 single-wing model. It works exactly where my lambda_0 works, one wing at a time, and fails exactly where the replay defect lives, across wings and contexts.)
