Hi! Team,
We are at our home stretch! Thanks to everyone who came out for our final meeting yesterday. We have 260 people signed up to volunteer thus far. We are in need of 240 more volunteers, so we are hoping to engage around 500 this year! We are fairly confident that we can reach this goal with student participation. We have a total of 18 projects.
I'm going to cover our tasks for the week:
George:
- Pull together contact info for all the sites
- Send confirmation e-mail to all sites
- Send confirmation e-mail to volunteers including invite to kick-off event for those sites that start after
10am
UT LCEC (Amory):
- Create parking map
- Confirm work order for table/chairs/lectern & set-up time
- Confirm SSB Glen Maloney room reservation (ensure door will be unlocked)
- Follow-up with all site leaders
- Provide Sonia with name and info on Student Government representative who will be saying a few remarks at kick-off
Sonia:
- Work with Ramey to finalize emcee script
- Confirm speakers for kick-off event
- Confirm breakfast items & Costco list with Ami, Amar and Varsha
- Send out list of sites to team for site check-in assignment
- Confirm kick-off volunteers and assignments
- Confirm sponsor booths
Amar:
- Pick up A/V equipment from Rock n' Roll rental
- Pick up Screen and projector from SAIVA
- Costco run with Ami
I'm also attaching the list of kick-off items. Also, we plan to take our keynote speaker, Samip out to dinner on Saturday evening - 7pm Trudy's off Burnet Rd. I'll send an e-mail out later this week to collect RSVPs to dinner so we can try and make
reservations.
