Hi all,

I have put some markers to one of my maps' boxes, now I want to remove
them but I can't find how. I have searched in the FAQ and Help, but
all I have found is how insert my own markers, but not how to remove
from a box.

Any help would be appreciated.

Best regards,
Manuel.

Hi

Do you mean delete the marker you added into map?

Sincerely!

Stephen

Hi Sir

XMind would consider about a better way to achieve this. :)

I asked myself the same question.
You can't simply press the Delete key, because it would delete the
whole Topic.

I finally discovered that :
-Place the mouse pointer on the Marker.
-Click on the Right Mouse Button.
-Click on Delete.
(there is some gui popup that makes that difficult, I don't remember
what, I'm not in front of the computer that has XMind installed)

It works for one Topic.
But when you need to delete all markers on all Topics (which happens
each time you finish a generic project), it's very tedious.

Yes. Thanks for the response, it's really needed. Some times markers
are just temporal marks to highlight some concept.

Best regards,
Manuel.

PD: I was out-of-office, that's why the delay.

Hi Manu

At present, your first time left-click will list other markers in current marker group. twice-click is to select this marker. then you can click "delete" to delete the marker.

I had the issue that xmind stopped working responsive after adding 200 marker to the app.
Uninstall / Install didn't remove the markers cause they are stored in c:\users\<user_name>\AppData\Roaming\XMind\workspace-cathy\.xmind\markers\

Delete them from there and you are fine.

Hi Sir

What's your added Marker files' size?

Sincerely!

To solve this problem you have to press 'control' (on a Mac) while right clicking on the marker you want to remove.
Then the menu with the delete option comes up.

Strange for such an otherwise impressive tool.

I too have come across this problem when trying to remove a marker.  This thread has helped me get it figured out how to actually do it, but I had been looking in the right-click context sensitive pop-up menu for markers as well as in the toolbox window on the right side; quite surprised not to find any options.

My suggestion would be to add an item in the Marker menu to be "No Markers" which would allow selection of nothing... like "Clear Formatting".

I would also suggest that there be a button in the Toolbox where the markers are found (there is currently Import, Export, and Marker Manager.  Adding the X Delete option here from the menu bar would be a coherent addition in my mind.

Regards,

Greg
