Beach recovery

Hi,

I was wondering if anyone has attempted to use XBeach in order to model profile recovery (accretion)?

If so what wave solver have you used?  Stationary or instationary?

I know that accretion occurs on a wave by wave basis but was unsure if this can be represented in XBeach using wave groups.

Hi Doug,

I'm working on a version of XBeach that allows to couple external models. As an example I'm coupling a dune model with XBeach. 

Both the dune model and XBeach compute changes to the bathymetry and exchange these while both models are running. 

Depending on the wind direction this leads to accretion.

I believe others have done some tests with the accretion in stationary mode but I haven't looked at that myself.
