Hi everyone,

I will be in Wellington during Animfx in November and would like to meet as many game dev peeps as possible. My main interest is seeing if we can get a Wellington GGJ going this year.

I have limited budget and will be sleeping on a sofa bed, but I could shout a round of beer or two if this will help.

As a matter of interest is anyone else attending Animfx?

Allan

I'd love to meet you for a drink Allan...do you have my phone number?  I know the Vic Uni fellas were loosely talking about putting a GGJ together in Wellington.  I'm not sure where I'll be in a couple of months as it depends on a few factors.  Either way, I'd love to catch up so do keep me posted.

chur chur,
Pranee

Hi Allan (and everyone else)

I'm going to be at AnimFX next week and keen to meet Wellington Game Developers.  Who is up for a drink on the Wednesday night before AnimFX, somewhere near Te Papa, say 6pm onwards?

I suspect I could bring along a few other Auckland visitors from Custard Square, 2nd City Studios, InGame.

Cheers,

I'm good for that - and I think it's a bitter idea than trying to do "hey we have no presentation anyone keen for drinks". :-)

I have 2-3 other out-of-town visitors who are looking for something to do next Wed night.

Can any local recommend a good pub/venue to meet at 6pm? I suspect we're all staying close to Te Papa, so somewhere on the waterfront would be good.

Cheers,
Stephen Knightly

Hi  All,

I'm keen to say hello if I can squeeze in the time.  I've been out of the loop due to me being busy packing & organizing over 10 years of living in NZ to move back to Melbourne in a few weeks.  That's the big reason I can't offer to help organize meet-ups lately.

There are lots of bars on Courtney Place.  I quite like the Library, Ancestral or Betty's Function House myself but people may have a more limited budget so I am not sure about good cheaper bars in that vicinity...?

Anyway...Wednesday night could be good.  May I recommend Ancestral as my pick?

cheers all,

Pranee

To confirm: I'll be at Ancestral on Courtney Place from 6pm Wednesday night.

I'll be the one that looks like a game developer (actually I might be in a suit!). Txt me on 027 4438 125 if you're lost.

Cheers,

I'll try to be there too - have an intense interview session that
afternoon, so I'll have to see how shattered I feel at the end of it.
