Hi,

today I tried to install 4.2 M7 but I run into an already known problem:

Installed SVN stuff from collaboration group via p2 (and the market client, should that be a necessaty) and restarted Eclipse.

Dialog to select a SVN connector appeared. I choosed SVN Kit 1.3.6-v1 and ... BAM! An error occured.

The Log informas me about the following problem:

!ENTRY org.eclipse.team.svn.core.svnnature 4 0 2012-05-09 12:34:00.972

Of course it couldn't be solved, because E4.2-M7'th org.polarion.eclipse.team.svn.connector is of an older version (or better: build date): org.eclipse.team.svn_0.7.9.I20120316-1700

I would like to know, if you, Lars, or anybody else have encountered this problem. And if the answer is yes: Do you know a workaround?
Of course, I could checkout all the suff from my companys SVN repo using a terminal, but I'd rather avoid that...

Thanks,
Daniel

Hi Daniel,

can you open a bug for the SVN connector? Looks like a problem of
their installation.

Best regards, Lars

Ok. Do I have to file the bug on Polarions side or is the Eclipse bugtracking system sufficient?

I don't know, you may start with the Eclipse forum...

I searched a bit around and found a tip at the Eclipse Forum, which is also helping me:

1) Add the Subversive repo http://download.eclipse.org/technology/subversive/0.7/update-site/
2) Update Feature
3) Restart
4) Install the Connector

So basically you didn't provide a solution, but encouraged me to have a deeper look into the problem :-)
And the solution is quite simple, if you know what to do.

Thank you very much Lars and...

Until the next problem ;-)
Daniel
