2013 STEPS Activities

Our planning meeting this past Sunday was a success!  Here are the current events planned for 2013:

February 3, Super Bowl Party- potluck game food- screen will be set up in Osborne Parlor- game starts at 4:30pm

March 9th, Day of Fun in the Snow- Thank you Kacey for volunteering to plan this fun day- details will come soon!

July 4th, BBQ- Keith and Meg's apartment with plans to venture for a firework show if our planet is not too dry for such fun.

August 8th- 11th, Turquoise Lake Camping Trip- Thank you Mark for putting in the reservation!

Below is the paragraph submitted for this year's annual conference- thanks for all the good times!

STEPS is a a group of twenty-somethings, thirty-somethings and “don’t ask”-somethings- singles, couples, and families. We strive to be a group that STEPS through life's transitions together in faith, fellowship and service. In 2012 we were able to get together for a variety of fellowship activities.  We enjoyed a day of fun in the snow, BBQs, hiking at Garden of the Gods, and our annual camping trip to Turquoise Lake. We very much enjoyed participating in the corn maze adventure with the Youth Group (with it's high flying/jumping fun).  Another event co-sponsored with the Youth Group was the Fall Festival. Donations from this event, and other contributions, helped STEPS support families through the Florence Crittenton program this Christmas.  Specifically we purchased: 200 diapers, three packages of wipes, seven warm winter children’s outfits, a Dora the Explorer doll and play set, a plush Mickey Mouse, two Laugh-and-Learn Puppies, a Cars 2 Pillow Pet, and gifts for four mothers including a fleece blanket, slippers,a hair straightener,  make-up, and a hand mixer. We look forward to more fun and meaningful activities in 2013!  peace and love ~ Meghan Calhoon and Liza Stoltz Hanson

Last option is only available to Liza as her due date will be close! :)

     This year I will be in San Fran. for the super bowl. Should be a fun time to be there :) So, hope you all have a great party. March 9th I am booked all day with recordings at Lamont...so no go for that one either. Hope you all have a great time.
