I stumbled upon this recently, maybe it's worth considering as a replacement for WebError?

I've just added this to my list of things to look at for TG. If somebody else wants to do so, please have at it, I won't argue, I promise :)

For 2.3 I ended up decoupling the request local objects registry from the debugger, that made possible to use backlash, which is the replacement for WebError currently in place.
This has also the side effect of making easy to use any other debugger, so we can experiment with many different solutions or provide documentation to use a different one from the default.

Just to keep it up, it seems there is a new version released, which supports code completion and improved object inspection (so they say on reddit: http://www.reddit.com/r/Python/comments/18235v/wdb_wsgi_web_debugger_092_is_out_with_code/

I think setting breakpoints is a really cool feature...
