Hey Folks,

Just reminding y'all that it's getting about time to be handing in
October's rent check, so if you haven't paid your September dues yet,
it'd be much appreciated!

(Cash to me next Tues or use that nifty newfangled paypal thingie. If
you're not sure if you're paid up, feel free to email me off-list!)

Cheerio,
Ben
(New Treasurer Dude)

Any chance for getting more info direct about the hackery space money details?

I would like to plan being a paid member sooner rather than later

Sure thing:

Its 5000 yen per month.
You can pay Ben in cash at any Tuesday night meeting (or one of the other officers if he is unavailable), or pay online either by going to the shop on the website (but some major stuff changed between paypal and drupal, so a lot of people have been having problems there), or by direct paypal.

If direct paypal, the easiest thing to do at the moment is just send it directly to Lauren (she what holds the Contracts and the Scepter of Judgment) with a note that it's for THS Dues for xyz month (or donation, or payment for something, yada yada yada).  The paypal email for that is kimonowineATgmailDOTcom.

Is this the kind of info you were looking for regarding hackery space money details?  Or did you have another question, like what we do with it?  If so, the answer is "pay rent, and every once in a while splurge on something awesome that we probably can't afford." :P

You answered my questions about money just fine

My next question is where to get M8 and M12 threaded and smooth rods

Or can we custom build anything at the hackerspace?

I have 2 things I want to custom build

1x 3D printer and 1x dual mainboard computer chassis

So I will need help finding local replacements for parts to build what is needed

Best place is Tokyu Hands if you want something mechanical. We do not have a lathe and our mill is not currently operational, so we cannot custom build anything but some.
