Is there any kind of regular schedule for releases for TiddlyWiki,
especially for alpha releases? Looking at modtime on the ALPHA file,
it looks like that was four months ago and there have been quite a lot
of commits since then.

Thanks.

It's frustrating to note that it's been nearly two months since I posted this message and in that time:

* there hasn't been a response
* there hasn't been a full release of TiddlyWiki (again, despite there having been commits, fixes, bug fixes etc)

I'm aware that there has been a beta release, for the new TiddlySaver.jar, but I haven't seen clear indications that alpha, beta and most importantly normal or regular releases are being handled in any consistent fashion.

I was reminded of this today because of a thread in the TiddlyWeb group where dealing with defaultCustomFields came up again:

I recall that Eric has been announced as the maintainer of TiddlyWiki "classic". Is that in progress, with plans to make the release process more regular or visible?

I've been slow in getting started on TWClassic, but have started on a
number of efforts, including getting going with github and nodejs.
Before I publish any kind of official update (even a beta),
I want to make sure I fully understand the build entire process and
have it working properly so I can first build TWClassic locally and
then do the full process (pulling content from TiddlySpace, building
TW, updating github, posting to www.tiddlywiki.com, etc.)

Right now, I'm busy working on my taxes. Once that is done (i.e,
starting next week), I will be focusing on two main efforts:

* prepare, build, test and release 2.6.6beta with all current
committed changes.
* write up some of my plans for the next few months and post it here
for discussion so that the schedule/"roadmap" will be based, in part,
on community input, rather than just my own ideas.
