Trash Cans at Fletcher's cove???

Does anyone have a clue as to why there are not more, if any, trash cans at Fletchers Cove?  I am guessing there is some logic behind the make it, take it policy there but I am really curious about it. 

 

***Also I will be picking up trash along the river bank next Sunday 7:30 am +/- if anyone has a truck and would like to lend a hand by hauling full bags to a bin / dump it would be a huge help because that *$#!% is gross in my car. Thanks much***

It's a trash free park!  Supposedly. Like most National Parks you are asked to haul out your own.  However if you collect trash or pickup riverside, leave the refuse at the post with the bags on the driveway just up the hill from the dock ramp. Usually a pile in waiting.
