Anyone have any experience using a bobbin for wire.   I am starting to tie more with wire and it is not laying as neat as I would like.  I have seen a video by Davie McPhail using copper wire on a ceramic (he emphasized only use ceramic) bobbin and I think it would help.  I also think I would waste less wire.  I have read however that I could get more twists in the wire due to the movement of the action.  Any thoughts?  Anyone know where I could find a bobbin with ceramic core?

I primarily tie with the Cermag Bobbin from Rite Bobbins and I really like it. It's super smooth and I love how easy it is to change tension. Can't speak much about using it for copper, though, sorry.

I used crappy worn bobbins (the ones that consistently cut thread) for wire (Cu and Pb)  I don't notice that twist is an issue at least for the relatively few wraps I make with wire compared to tying threads
