Non-fishing wildlife

Hey - one of the best things about fishing to me is that the long hours outdoors gives you a good chance of eventually seeing some interesting (or bizarre) wildlife out there. 

 

Beth has a real knack for capturing various animals in the process of trying to sexually reproduce.  With that said, enjoy the tiger beetles below!  I'm *fairly sure that this is what they're doing.  Anyone else enjoy random, weird wildife and other culture while fishing?  BTW - no need for Rob to respond ;).  Rob's cultural finds while fishing FAR exceed mine -- and it makes his tales interesting to read. 

 

Any requests?  Beth also got a great one of a pair of squirrels, we have snail kites going at it, house sparrows, and I think a couple of American toads in amplexus.  Rock! 

 

I need to look for the squirrels....

No seriously, I think "dumb" or "childish" are far better terms for it.  Not that I care ;).  

BTW - the warblers are heating up out there too!  Last year we got a Cape May, black-throated blue, black-throated green, etc.  All are an added bonus to fishing so much ;).
