Hi everyone,

My lovely girlfriend recently booked us a weekend getaway for my birthday here:

http://www.innattabbscreek.com/

I'm guessing that my 8 weight rod with sinking line, 0x, and a handful of clousers should be adequate for Fluke, Weakfish, and Stripers (or should I saw Flounder, Trout, and Rockfish) though I've never fished down here before and would welcome any suggestions. We probably won't venture very far from the B&B, so I would be more interested to hear about tackle and tactics.

Also, if anyone knows of a trap and skeet range in the area that has guns for rent, let me know!

Thanks a bunch.
John

Trent Jones and I were just down fishing the Mobjack bay yesterday (post/pics to follow). The Spec bite was fairly slow, but really fun.

I would suggest a 6 or 7 weight rod, clousers in chartreuse/white and orange/white and mainly in size 2/0. Most of the water is fairly shallow (3-10’, with sections deeper). An intermediate or fast-sink tip should do the trick.

Have fun! It’s a really beautiful body of water.
