The biggest problem I had was definitely trying to punch through the winds with a meager six weight. Despite the presence of both polarized sunglasses and a good hat, I failed to see even one bonefish (nor any other inshore fish for that matter). Does that mean they aren't there? You tell me. The point is, after about 4 and a half hours of fruitless, blind casting with everything from #2 chart/wht clousers to a #8 crab pattern (picked em up at a local fly shop), I left islamorada tired, sunburnt and defeated. On the plus side the scenery was absolutely gorgeous.
