San Francisco Fishing

I recently found out I will be heading to San Francisco for work from November 10th to November 17th. I really want to try and hit some local spots with my 9wt but I've never fished on the west coast or been to San Francisco. I'll be staying near the Moscone center downtown and won't have a car. A few questions,

1. What will I be fishing for?
2. Are there any local spots I can hit with access to public transportation or by bike?
3. What flies should I bring?

I won't have time to head to any local shops so I'll need to be "prospecting" on my own with little local guidance. I'm hoping to tap into the collective knowledge of this group for advice. I'll be fishing at odd times (i.e. after my long days at the conference) so either late night fishing or very early in the AM.

My setup - 9wt rod and reel with spare spool with both floating and sinking line.

There is a surf spot at the base of golden gate bridge where I saw guys swinging some fly rods beside some nutbars who were surfing. Take the 28 Bus to the bridge from pretty much anywhere. But be prepared! This was literally the windiest place I had ever been in my life. Might be a bit spicy for a 9WT. Also, that water is cold. Like, real cold.

 

If you can rent a car and extend your trip, fish in Yosemite. Hell, just GO to Yosemite. You'll only be three hours away.

I've been reading a bit about the SF Bay being a striper fishery as well.  Apparently the bite heats up in Sept and Oct, not sure about Nov. There are a few guides in the area easily found by a google search that might be a good place to start.
