This warm weather is getting me thinking about fishing! I'd like to target perch this year knowing they are some of the first fish to migrate up the river. I believe the Yellow Perch come first followed by the White Perch is that right? Any suggestions on flies? Small Clousers?

Thanks!

Your right.  Clousers are a good bet.  I like white ones.

I find that a smaller clouser, maybe size 10, with red or yellow eyes and olive over white buck tail on a very slow retrieve works very well.

I used to catch yellow perch all the time on live banded killifish and mummichogs.

I got one in 4MR on a small pink/lime clouser minnow this summer...but nothing since then.  They're beautiful fish -- post pics if you get one!
