OK, I havent posted in a wile but I caught 11 minners on carp flies at chain bridge in the c&o canal. a 40+ #er broke the line. Then, I went to georgetown to try for some catfish. I caught 2 small flatheads and a white catfish. then I saw some carp and took 2 casts with the nymphs. I caught a nice sized perch and on the next cast, I caught a water moccasin. It went crazy. the carp left.

FOB,
I use to pick off sunnies a stone’s throw from the 'gonia store in the canal with my 3wt. I fished where rock creek hits the Potomac on Friday night (also very close)...the tide never really got going but got a few white perch and crappie...or if you are so inclined...paddle over to T.R. Island, it has descent fishing during the summer and fall….
Hope this helps.
