Family and Youth Casting Call

Several asked me last night to post the Family and Youth Casting
Call web site and volunteer sign up page.

Sign up to volunteer for either day or both. Make sure to list TPFR under the "On Behalf of:" entry on the form so I can let Dan know how important you guys are to the event. You'll get a tee-shirt and we will feed you breakfast and lunch.
I also forgot to mention to spread the word for Saturday. It is a public free fishing day. Got any kids of your own and want them to learn to fish in a target rich environment? Want your kids to learn about the natural world around them and earn their National Park Service Junior Ranger badge? Grab your kids and come on down. Any neighbors ever asked you what fishing was all about? Tell them to grab their kids and come on down. Seriously. We have had kids in strollers up to teens participate and everybody has a good time.

Hey Angler,
BTW the volunteer form did not tell me what time it wanted me to show up. I know the event is from 10 to 3 but do they want me there earlier (9AM or 9:30AM). Please let me know. Thanks,

Sorry, I did not see this until this AM. I rarely check this email
and we were on site all day Friday with another event.

Thanks for the promotion Aaron.
We had a great event thanks to great volunteers and great weather. Friday we had 160 elementary and middle school kids learn how to fish. Saturday we had over 500 kids and their parents take a turn fishing on the canal. All of this would not be possible without the help of clubs like this. TPFR supplied a handful of volunteers and for that we are very thankful. We will do this again next year and hope to move it away from the VA fly fishing festival so more can participate.
