I left my waders in NY.  Hopefully will have them next week.  Any spots aside from the Tidal Basin around DC where I can fish without waders?  I'm trying to get my fishing fix this week after work.

Since it's supposed to be so warm this week (80's for the next few days), wet wading at either Gravelly Point or Roaches Run could be options. Gravelly Point was running low and clear yesterday, and felt like it was at least as warm as the afternoon air.

Certainly the first time I can remember being able to see the bottom in waist-deep water there.

if you can row, get thee to Fletcher's Boat House on Canal Road and rent a boat.  If, and only if, the water levels are low enough at Riverbend Park in Great Falls, that can be fun too. DO NOT WADE THE POTOMAC IF IT RAINS!!!

Another option qould be fishing the Potomac over at Chainbridge.   This is where the potomac narrows down but also gets fast and deep.   There is no wading at all there and you do not need a boat if you park near the bridge.  I would suggest fishing the DC side as it is friendlier for fly fishing than the VA side (more back casting space) You can use streamers with a sinking line just make sure to get the DC license but at $13/year (out of state) its a bargain.
