Well, I passed my Fundamentals of Engineering exam! So now I have
earned the right to take the even harder Professional Engineers test!

Does this mean you get to wear those cool blue-striped hats?  Or is that just for train engineers?

Sorry Shag, no hats. Well I mean you can still WEAR the hat but
that's more for the choo-choo type. (Speaking of which I just bought
my older boy a wooden Thomas and Percy... need to get some wooden
track if he doesn't get any for his birthday.)

Jason, the FE is a general engineering exam. The morning session is
on all types of engineering along with ethics, economics, and
mathematics. The afternoon session is focused on one discipline -- in
my case I took Electrical.

The PE I am going to take is for Control Systems, which, since I am an
Instrumentation and Control Systems Engineer, seems appropriate.

Well, I got my results back and I passed my Professional Engineers exam, so I am now a PE!
Now I have letters after my name and everything!

Thank you everyone for your kind words!

Although, Shag, if I am the one who signed off on a bridge, I'd advise you to get off of said bridge... I'm not a Civil Engineer!  Yikes! ;)
