Anyone else playing?  It's pretty awesome.  It's just like Diablo 2, only, more Diablo 3ish.

A co-worker let me play with a guest account that allowed you to play up until the Skeleton King. Yeah, there's really nothing spectacular about it since it's pretty much the same as before, just better graphics and a couple minor improvements.
So, technically, it's the same monotony as before: have a couple conversations, walk a lot, hack, hack, slash, slash, spell, spell, walk a lot, hack, hack, slash, slash, spell, spell, walk a lot, repeat twenty million more times.
I'll wait a year or so when it's on sale for $20 or less.
If you want to play a really good fantasy game that has tons of variety and a lot more to it, play Skyrim.

I pay WoW and as the leader of a raid team I pretty much knew D3 was going to be somewhat disruptive.  I was not wrong.  WoW is at the tail end of an expansion right now and people have little incentive to hop on and play.  D3 being the new hotness has basically put my team in neutral for the foreseeable future.  This is OK.  I was expecting it.

I tried D3.  It was kinda fun.  Played through the Normal difficulty to see the story.  Ed is correct.  Its a whole lot of rinse and repeat.

My main purpose for posting this reply though was to agree with Ed on the Skyrim deal.  Now that WoW is not taking a ton of time I find myself really enjoying that game.  I recently upgraded my system so its running insanely smooth and its drop-dead gorgeous.

Skyrim: highly recommended.  <insert outdated arrow to the knee joke here>

i'm good with WoW.  One video game addiction is enough for me.  Skyrim was fun for a while but everything's just so drab & dreary!
