unistalled but still thiks ArcSWAT is installed

This is not a technical issue with SWAT but instead a computer issue, where for some reason when I try to install Arc SWAT 2012.10.1 Beta 10 (or any other version of SWAT) it says “ArcSWAT is already installed.  Please uninstall first, then try again.” 

I am running a Windows 7 machine with ArcGIS 10 Service pack 5 (4400).  I was running the last version of ArcSWAT I think Arc SWAT 2012.10.1 Beta 2.  I meet all the criteria below except I have Microsoft Net. Framework 4 (not sure if that is a problem)

1.) Microsoft Windows 7 or Windows XP
2.) ArcGIS 10.0 , Service Pack 2 (build 3200).
3.) ArcGIS Spatial Analyst 10.0
4.) ArcGIS Dot Net support (usually found in: C:\ProgramFiles\ArcGIS
\DotNet)
5.) Microsoft .Net Framework 3.5
6.) Adobe Acrobat Reader Version 8 or higher. Acrobat Reader may be
downloaded for free from:

The problem arose when I uninstalled the last version of ArcSWAT from the Uninstall Program.  It seemed to uninstall fine (no longer on my program list), but then when I tried to reinstall it gave me the above mentioned error.  I looked on the google groups and found to software packages that were recommended for this problem (http://www.iobit.com/advanceduninstaller.html?aff=13112 and  http://support.microsoft.com/kb/2438651).  I ran both these programs but no luck still same error message.  Then I uninstalled ArcGIS and reinstalled it (rebooting all the while), but this did not solve the problem.  I then ran some cleaning software to see if it would remove the files that are making SWAT think it is still installed, but still no luck. 

would anyone have any solutions for this!?

I encounter the same problem now. First, I installed ArcGIS 10 and ArcSWAT 2009.10.1. 
Afterwards I first uninstalled ArcGIS 10, installed ArcGIS 9.3 and uninstalled ArcSWAT 2009.10.1.

When I now try to install ArcSWAT 2009.93.7b I've got the sam error like you did. I also ran both uninstalling programs, but also no luck....

Do you already have a solution for this problem?

I would be very very happy if anyone could solve my problem.

Has anyone found a solution to this problem? I have been receiving the same error when I try to install ArcSWAT 2012.10.1.4 for ArcGIS 10.1, SP1. I receive the error "ArcSWAT is already installed. Please uninstall first, then try again." Since I already uninstalled the old version of ArcSWAT, there is nothing left to uninstall.

Does anyone have any ideas? Similar to others I have uninstalled ArcGIS 10.1 and reinstalled it thinking that might "reset" things. It did not work. I have searched my PC for all things ArcSWAT, but I can't seem to turn up anything.

Try Microsoft's Install and Uninstall Fix It utility.  It replaced the Microsoft Installer Cleanup Utility but works just as well.  I've had the same problem with other software and it's done the trick.

Hi guys, i've having this trouble issue too, and i used this tool but it solve nothing.
And then i try to delete information of "arcswat" registry in regedit.
And i can install arcswat and it solve this trouble issue.
So i suggest you, to remove or delete all the information registry regarding arcswat.
By regedit.
Ctrl+f
And then check all the tick for value string and (whatever it is i forget).

But before you do that you should back up your registry by doing export.
Becareful registry is the part of main system in windows.

Dear All,
I tried this option: http://support.microsoft.com/mats/Program_Install_and_Uninstall/ and it worked well.
Here you don't even need to uninstall the ArcGIS, this tool will automatically uninstall the previous version of Arcswat and will let you install a newer version etc.
