Lets' swamp our politicians with letters.

Many of us have written to our local, state and national
representatives. How many ever get answered? We have no
representation.

Lets' take the congress, senate, president and all other
representatives by storm and deluge them with letters. Tell them of
your own personal plight and urge them to restore our rights as
American citizens. Forgive student loan debt and give us back the
rights and protections all other types of borrowers have.

New article in the local Miami Bus.Review headlining about a teacher who is getting her pay garnished for student loans. Not news for us but the issue is becoming popular news and that means where no one listened before, they will now because it gets viewers/readers' attention  and experts will be researching... now is the time to speak out about the abuses and violations committed by lenders. They need the econ. to improve but they now see that won't happen as long as so many are enslaved in poverty by way of uncontrolled, abusive  student lenders. As I've repeated 'ad nauseum' ; timing is everything; our time will come; that time is now. Get the article and attach it to your letter/ email to your local Representative... It's an election year & no politician wants to be on the wrong side;;; they remembered what that did politically for unwitting Madoff supporters..

I have face-booked my friends with a letter I want them to send my senator. I have also asked that their friends and family do the same. Numbers game is where we need to be. That is all they know. Sad, but true. Just did yesterday. They juat need to email me. I will send them my story and the letter to write. If we do all the work, our friends are more likely to do it. ...

Hey, I started a petition on change.org for student loan borrowers to come together and organize a letter writing campaign, or something like it(i.e. flood the white house web-site with letters at the same time?)  How does that sound? Judy

How about this angle?  Taxation w/out Representation.  We, as student loan borrowers have no representation.  Thats' quite evident given the lack of response to letters written to "representatives" that never get answered.  Through a little research, I found out that Taxation w/out Representation is not part of the constitution, but I think it goes without saying.

Heres' a bit of what I found and borrowed:

The concept of "no taxation without representation" may be present in general in the United States. But those who are unrepresented (such as convicts and immigrants who cannot vote) are still subject to taxation. Notably, the citizens of Washington, DC, do not have any voting representation in Congress (though it does send a non-voting delegate to the House of Representatives). Since 2000, DC license plates have included the phrase "Taxation Without Representation" in an effort to raise awareness of the issue, especially among tourists visiting the city. By virtue of the 23rd Amendment, however, DC does have at least three electoral votes.

Taxes have been levied by the ruling class on the masses for centuries:: like death & prostitution::: its a fact of life that s not going away::: those that try 'strategisizing' on constitutional law interpretation are viewed as loonies looking for a loophole...don't bother unless you want to have this issue ignored for another decade .
