What happened to our group. I had so much fun reading everyone's hoya adventures. Seeing everyone's pictures was a plus as well. Here are a few I had bloom this year.

Hi Tami,

This group was created by 2 people who at the time I thought were friends of mine. They took it upon themselves to create the group and list me as it's owner (without my permission I might add). I did have the power to moderate and approve messages as well as approve or deny memberships but that was all I had.  Unbeknownst to me the 2 so called friends were only using me to get all of the FREE hoyas they could get, which ended up being a cutting of just about every single hoya that I had at the time. Once they got what the wanted they not only abandoned this group but me as well.  The group hung on for a little while after they left but things slowly but surely fizzled out here as everyone just moved along to other forums. My name was left as being the group owner and I had and have no way of ever fixing that problem because the 2 real owners are the only ones who have the original passwords to finish putting the final nail into the coffin here to actually shut this group down permanently. Until I got an email today alerting me that someone had posted to this forum,I had actually forgotten that it still existed.

I agree with you though at one time this was a fun place to visit and learn things.

I wasn't an active participant in the group, just read everyone elses comments; but I did order a few hoyas just to see what they are. :-) I found out I like them! I gve my Mom a couple of them but still ahve 2. Mine haven't bloomed yet, but I'm hangin on. Figure they will someday if I can keep them alive.

Michael,
I have wondered how you are doing. You shared several of your hoya's with me as well. I thank you for that. We used to have a fun group. I liked it. I have had several questions about soil and what have you that I just googled instead. Not that I found any answers but didn't figure anyone was on here much.
I have a ponding group that I was in charge of moderating and I think the owner passed away. I thought if there were no action that the group would be shut down. It seems not to be the case.
I have a question for you. I have several Hoya's I have found scale on. Do you think if I unpotted them and soaked them in something to smother the scale and washed and sterilized the pots and put them back in new dirt and ordered lady bugs for the sunroom, That they would get better? LOL I just hate trashing them. It's hard to find anything online about scale.
Hey, It great to hear from you anyway. Sorry about the other stuff.

Tami

Cathy,
Just hang on and they will eventually bloom. :-) Great to hear that Hoya lovers are still out there.
