Lion does not give the little month summary calendar any more. Does anyone know of a nice little app that just gives the days in the months? I had a look in app store without any luck.

Thanks, Ranulph

I have a widget that does that for Dashboard. You get them through the Apple website for free (most of them).

I used to love widgets, but I've completely forgotten about them. Thanks a lot.

Can you give me the name of the widget?

Thanks, Ranulph

It seems to be listed as iCal. It certainly links to my iCal app.
Hope that helps,
Nick

What about pressing 'Year' view in iCal?

Is that not the same?

'Day' view also shows the current month's calendar. Prior to lion you could have 3 months of calendars available in any view though I think. It's amazing what I've forgotten already ...

Thanks for further suggestions. I'd thought of the year view, and I'd noticed the month calendar. I just want to be able to look quickly at days of the week in any month, in the next several years. A simple calendar that can scroll through months, as used to be in ical, was ideal.
