I love my iP4 as it works so well and has no lag etc.

If anyone could let me know how iOS6 performs on their iP4, I'd be most grateful.

I really don't want to update only to find it starts to be laggy (I am scarred from the iOS4 on the 3G experience!)

Thanks all

Adam

Updated last night, iPhone 4 and iPad 3.

No problems with performance so far. In fact if anything the phone is working more smoothly. Too soon to comment properly on iPad but it will get a run today.

Though my 5 year old daughter has discovered Siri already. I have just opened the iPad to fund Safari open on a google search: "why do farts smell"

Regards

Russell

Have installed on both iPhone and iPad. No instal problems with either. In use iOS 6 seems smoother.

Tony

Put my wife's iPhone 4 on iOS 6 this morning. Bit early yet but she hasn't noticed any worsening of performance as yet and no lag - if by that you mean touch delay.

On the double plus side she welcomes the Facebook integration - she is very active on Facebook - and the 'Can't take your call' type phone additions.

Regards,

Tony

My 3GS is *less* laggy. iPad 3 also fine.

Maps is really pants tho. If you use it, think long and hard about why you would upgrade...

I think that it would be a mistake to make a decision on whether to upgrade based on current Maps app. There are alternatives such as Google Maps via a web browser if it is important. Absolutely certain that the Maps app will improve - after all it isn’t the app itself that is the problem but the cartography data that it gets from Apple’s servers that is the cause of the trouble.

Glad to here that the 3GS is less laggy - my daughter will be pleased as she is undecided on whether to upgrade.

I wanted to say it should be treated as a dealbreaker, if its a dealbreaker for you. Otherwise it all seems good so far (once I figure out why every new mail triggers 'vibrate' alert even though it's all switched off)

Understood. Mind you Google Maps placement of services isn't always accurate. Our local Boots is in a car park more or less in the same bay as it is shown on the Apple Maps app. Still waiting for the mobile shop to arrive!
