OSX Mail - groups

All,

I sent an email from OS X (10.7.5) Mail to a group created in the Address Book app the other day. The group was of around 70 assorted email addresses. I was a bit surprised when not a single address bounced-back as undeliverable, and now I've spoken to two people in the group who it seems didn't actually receive the email. So I guess, despite the fact that the email is in my Sent Items folder, and despite the fact that nothing bounced back, nobody actually received it. Is anybody aware of a bug in OS X Mail that means group messages don't actually get sent?

Phil,

Try spitting the Group into 7 sets of 10 addresses - most ISPs won't allow bulk eMailing (to more than 10 addresses) - its seen as SPAM.

Ditto to that Phil/Chris.... and with so many people now getting mail on their mobiles, folks rarely see that there is anything in their Spam folder at all.

I've been caught out that way lots of times.

That probably explains it then. Thanks both.

And it wasn't spam. It was an attempt to get all my friends to support my band's pledgemusic.com project.
