Sorry all, not meaning to treat you like a glorified classifieds... and I know I've mentioned it before, but:

My wife's original iPhone (the very first!) is struggling to cling to this mortal coil.

If anyone has an iPhone 4 (ideally) that they're looking to sell perhaps to finance an upgrade, she might well be interested. We'd rather do that than take a punt on ebay.

Similarly, if anyone knows a trusted local source for a refurb unit, we'd be interested!

Thanks

Hi Adam

I know someone who's selling one for £180 including charger and USB cable. How does that sound? We can unlock it officially through O2 as she's out of contract now.

Regards

I have a well looked after 3S 16Gb unlocked model that I am willing to sell for a reasonable amount.
Please email me directly if you are interested.

Dear Sam

That sounds most promising, thank you.

Couple of things:

1. Is it a 4?
2. Is it in reasonable condition (screen, battery life, home button!)

Mrs P is on O2 so no need to unlock, we'd just request a micro-sim.

All being well, perhaps I could look at it and then pay via you, on December 5th (my home button arrived by the way!)

My main question, is how easy it is to sync this new iPhone with my MacBook - so she can share my apps? Or I wonder if it's best for her to have her own iCloud account and Apple ID and keep it simple? Also, how to get her contact off her iPhone, as she's on iOS3....

Keep me posted! Would love to buy through you if poss - and perhaps a bottle of vino as a finders fee!

Yup it's been well looked after, if you get a new battery from eBay beforehand I can fit it for you here, takes 2 mins. It's a 4 not a 4S.

You can only share apps easily if you both sign into the same store account on the iPhone.

If you bring her old iPhone I can sync it to to the new one with any luck.

Thanks, as ever, Sam!

Do I need to get a new battery? I mean if it's ok and holding a day-or-so's charge with reasonable use, then that'll be fine and is an extra £10 saved!

Right, so if it's sensible, shall we say you'll have it on Dec 5th, and I'll be there mid-late afternoon and can take it from there?

Thanks
