to Shelve Firefox Add-on
Would you be willing/interested in making an Android compatible
version of this (so for Firefox mobile)? I wouldn't expect it to be
too difficult for an addon like this. Earlier today, I was able to
install and configure Shelve in Firefox Mobile (see
http://forums.zotero.org/discussion/17336/zotero-on-my-android-tablet-with-firefox-mobile/#Item_1).
Unfortunately, I didn't get it to actually work (as far as saving
pages). Probably just something minor getting in the way.

I might try porting it myself later if I have time, so I'll post back
with new information if I get anything.

It will take some time to figure out a proper way to integrate the options dialog. But frankly, since fennec doesn't seem very usable yet on my phone, I hesitate to put too much effort into it.

Yeah, fennec isn't quite ready despite how long it has been available, so i get what you are saying.  For now, Im satisfied with having my Dolphin browser history backed up to Dropbox nightly...  from there, i can do a delayed pull of the sites i visited from my desktop at night.  Even if i did have a working Shelve addon, im honestly not sure id be able to use fennec regularly and still enjoy my Android devices...

But  if there are other users who are sorely missing their Shelve on mobile, perhaps it would be worth fixing the (hopefully very simple) incompatibility that interferres with the core functionality?  The current version can already be configured on mobile with a bit of effort (not pretty, but it does work).  And you can always edit the files manually.  So not really a full update for mobile, but just a proof of concept package left for more adventurous users.

The Firefox mobile team seems to have decided to use a native GUI in future versions. Since the question of addons is undecided yet, porting an addon now isn't a sensible thing to do, it seems.
