2012 has been one of transition. With the announcements by Adobe in 2011, many of us found ourselves adapting to new technologies, new tools, and new opportunities.

As managers of the San Diego Flash User Group, we saw the winds of change and began to expand our meeting topics (HTML5, backbone.js, jQuery Mobile, etc). We also began co-meeting with the San Diego Adobe Developers User Group. Recently, the manager of SDADUG has decided to step down to pursue a Masters degree (Good luck Darius!). James and I talked it over and decided that we should migrate the San Diego Flash User Group to San Diego Adobe Developers User Group. Since we have grown beyond the Flash platform, we needed a new identity that better reflected our broader focus. Don't worry, Flash will still be covered in our monthly meetings. But we feel the SDADUG will allow the group to reach a larger audience than one with Flash in name.

The meetings will remain the first Mondays at 6pm at the Art Institute of San Diego.

Looking forward to see you all at the next meeting!

Chris & James
