Does anybody know something about Scalr support for OpenStack? On the roadmap for Scalr 3.0 in 2012 I could read, that the OpenStack support is coming, but when in 2012? ;-)

It's coming sometime soon, what do you need it for?

We would need first Scalr hosted edition support for our CloudFoundry
installations on top of OpenStack for our publich offering and then
later for our customers in their private cloud.

Makes sense. I believe we have provisioned an openstack cluster and are developing against it. Should be out soon.

We are also anxious for OpenStack support. Will the source code be
out in the next month? We have two institutional clouds that are
OpenStack that we will be using.

Quick update: OpenStack support is on its way, but won't make it in 3.0, which is due for release any time now.

A beta is available to those that want to participate and provide feedback. We need to know what version (Essex, Folsom), as well as what components (swift, glance, keystone, quantum, nova, volumes) are available.

When we are happy with the state of it, we'll open it up for public testing and release the code.

We offered in the past our support and availability for beta testing, I renew the offer if public release is still not close...

OpenStack support is ready, and will be released in the next stable package coming up shortly.
