Yes, LinkedIn hosts many meetings, and is a first-class facility with unparalleled resources, but I wanted to grow the community by hosting at different venues. For example, last month was at EBay. This approach works really well in SF, but is proving harder in the peninsula. A happy ending would make it all worthwhile.

It is a comfort to know LinkedIn is available if we need it. I very much
appreciate it! If we don't get this figured out by midweek, perhaps we
should fall back to LinkedIn.
Someone from Walmart is looking into the possibility of hosting this
meetup (BTW, they have an enormous facility, but I was completely
unaware of it). As I said, I would very much like to grow the community.
Often growth is uncomfortable, and I am willing to endure some
discomfort ... made easier with everyone's support, of course!
Are there any other potential hosts lurking who would like to come forward?
