The problem occurs whenever we add or remove a ProductVariation, or update an existing one's slug. The satchmo.variations variable in the script (set to the {{ details|as_json }} context variable) does not change. The new/changed option appears in the options select box, but causes the "Sorry, we do not have any of that combination available" message to appear in the case of a newly added variation or an "out of stock" message in the case of a slug change.

I tried changing the cache backend settings, but that had no effect on anything. Furthermore, I figured that if it was a cache-related problem, the variations would update themselves eventually, but even after a couple of weeks nothing has changed.

Does any one have any ideas of what may be causing this?

thanks a bunch in advance.

If you run satchmo_rebuild_pricing, does it work?

yes. that fixed it. I do remember seeing somewhere that satchmo_rebuild_pricing should be run in cron, but I never set that up. I will set it up now. Is it the desired behaviour that satchmo_rebuild_pricing needs to be run in order to reflect changes to variations on configurable product pages?

thanks for you help.

Yes. That command builds an optimized table to do price lookups.  We should probably make it a trigger or option when you make changes in the admin but it can be an expensive operation so we haven't forced it to rebuild on demand.
