 ऽपरिभाषेयमिऽति । नाधिकारः; अस्वरितत्वात्, असंयुज्यनिर्देशाच्च । अधिकारे हि "इको गुणवृद्धी न धातुलोपः" इति संयुज्यैव निर्दिशेत् । नापि विधिः, "इकः स्थाने गुणवृद्धी भवतः" इति लक्षणान्तरेण विधास्यामानत्वात् । ननु यदायं स्वतन्त्रो विधिस्तदा तेष्विक इत्यस्योपस्थापकाभावाद् यातेत्यादावनिकोऽपि विधिः स्यात्, इह तु सार्वधातुकाद्यभावेऽपि दधि मध्वित्यादौ विधिरस्तु ? एवं तर्हि गुणवृद्ध्यधिकारे पुनर्गुणवृद्धिग्रहणान्न विधिः । यद्यपि प्रकृतं गुणवृद्धिग्रहणं संज्ञापरम्, इह त्वनुवृत्तिसामर्थ्यात्संज्ञिपरं भविष्यति । "अदेङ् गुणः" इत्यत्र चानुवर्तमानमपि वृद्धिग्रहणं न संबध्यते, अन्यवचनाच्चकाराकरणाच्च । अन्या हि तत्र गुणसंज्ञोच्यते, चकारश्च न क्रियते; अतो विधिपक्षे पुनर्गुणवृद्धिग्रहणं न कर्तव्यम् । अत एवाधिकारोऽपि न भवति । परिभाषायां तु तस्यां विशिष्टविषयत्वसिद्धये कर्तव्यं तदिति वक्ष्यामः । अतः परिभाषेयम् । योगो वायं व्यपदिश्येत, सूत्रं वा, तत्कथम् "इयम्" इति स्त्रीलिङ्गनिर्द्देशः ? उच्यते-यथायं योगः, यथा वा सूत्रमिदम्, एवं परिभाषापि, तत्सामानाधिकरण्यादियमिति निर्देशः । ननु परिभाषात्वं विधित्सितम्, इदंशब्दस्तु उद्देशकः, सिद्धरूपस्य चोद्देशः, सूत्ररूपता योगरूपता वा सिद्धेति पुनरप्युद्देशकस्य स्त्रीलिङ्गानुपपतिः । कश्चिदत्र परिभाषेयमित्यनूद्य स्थानिनियमार्थता विधीयते-"येयं परिभाषा सा स्थानिनियमार्थेति, न तु परिभाषारूपता विधीयते" इत्याह, स वाच्यः-"असिद्धं परिभाषात्वं कथमनूद्यते" इति । अव्यापकश्चायं परिहारः शमर्थः पदविधिः" इत्यादौ । तत्र परिभाषेयमित्येतावच्छ्रूयते, न पुनरेतदर्थेति । ....

When I type in Devanagari, only Sabdasagara and DCS-Frequency are displayed; but not Vacaspatyam and SKD. Any suggestion?

 

No idea - never seen this error. How did you install vAchaspatyam and shabdakalpadruma? using the

Dr. Oliver's DB offers pointers to word frequency. His website offers hyperlinks to each output word in result. Can it be implemented in android?

Good idea - One can potentially provide a link to the word in Oliver's DCS website, but that requires data I don't have (a map from each word to the appropriate url, such as pancaka to http://kjc-sv013.kjc.uni-heidelberg.de/dcs/index.php?contents=lemma&IDWord=15164 ). Perhaps +martin or +oliver might provide this data?

I appreciate all of your efforts, including Drs. Dhaval and Gasun, to make available the DB's on the android platform! I use colordict app on android. I downloaded some of the tar files from your github pages. Quite useful. I've one query.

​Also, more to the point, what URL did you use to install vAchaspatyam and kalpadruma? Did you use links from shrI ajita's (cc-ed) pioneering aupasana.com, or did you use those from tars.MD? The former used to have only roman-keywords from what I recall from many years ago, while the latter is known to have both.

Thanks for the pointers. I installed Total commander. I realized I stopped to use the SD card. I run the apps with internal memory (16 GB). This must be the problem?

​No - it does not matter - the dictionary you installed probably does not contain devanAgarI headwords (as I later guessed).

And I mistyped: dictdata/vAcaspatyam folder (wherever it is located - sd card or internal storage) ​

Your observation might correct in general. But, the word 'करटिन्' is found in Apte's Practical Sanskrit English Dictionary available online at http://www.sanskrit-lexicon.uni-koeln.de.
