It appears that Logo is rising to take its place. I'll get started
porting Sage to Logo. I always did love the turtle.

Actually it appears to be Javascript, C# and objective C that are
displacing Python.

Bill.

Your ridiculous claim does not take into consideration the vast number
of green arrows that Logo lords over its competition.

Logo is lisp for cripples. I can't imagine why it is making any kind
of comeback.

I'm sure that the youthful exuberance of those Logo-using
elementary school students plus their knowledge of advanced math
up to and including fractions, would make them into
prime contributors to Sage. If it were in Logo.

I'd like to highlight the key difference between missing, and
retractable limbs: the retracted limb can be extended, and does not
actually cease to exist once hidden.

I gained my fondness for Logo in the 6th grade. Perhaps it's
experiencing a resurgence in youngsters who could give a shit less
about fast multiplication, and care more about drawing spirographs
without breaking a sweat.

Interestingly, there is no programming language enjoying an AAA ranking...
Probably the whole bubble will burst soon, and everyone will go back to assembler...

If programmers pull in their expensive habits such as use of braces
and semicolons or out of control consumption of CPU cycles and memory
then there is still a chance to avoid disaster.

I've heard that in some programming camps they are not even paying
lisp service to the programming overlords.

it's only dropping, because it wants to be in the "hall of fame" for a third time. the hall of fame is given to the language that rises most in a year. python got this award in 2007 and 2010. now preparing for 2012 or 2013.

Ah yes, the venerated hall of flame. Grill away.

Bill.
