error installing engineyard-dns

I tried

gem install engineyard-dns

and got the following error:

ERROR:  While executing gem ... (NoMethodError)
    undefined method `call' for nil:NilClass


what Im doing wrong?

I suspect this is a problem with your rubygems version, possibly a
conflict with the version of ruby you are using. Tell us about your
operating system and how you have installed stuff.

Which version of ruby and rubygems are you using?
