rake redis:install keeps failing

I am working my way through the RhoMobile tutorial http://docs.rhomobile.com/rhoconnect/command-line#generate-an-application and I at the point of entering 

    rake redis:install

I get the following error.

    WARNING: using the built-in Timeout class which is known to have issues when use

    d for opening connections. Install the SystemTimer gem if you want to make sure

    the Redis client will not hang.

    Installing redis to C:\RhoStudio\redis-2.4.0;C:\dropbox\code\InstantRhodes\redis

I am working on a Whindows machine, primarily using RhoStudio.

Hello,

On Windows you don't need to install redis, rhostudio includes it so you should just be able to create a run configuration for your rhoconnect app immediately after installing rhostudio.

Thanks,  now when I run that, I get an error:

Windows cannot find 'C:\RhoStudio\redis-2.4.0;C:\dropbox\code\InstantRhodes\redis-1.2.6-windows/redis-server'. Make sure you typed the name correctly, and then try again.

It looks like you ran an instant rhodes install on top of a rhostudio install.  Try uninstalling instant rhodes or removing those "InstantRhodes" references from your path.

Thanks so much.  I removed all the PATH references and kept having the issue.  Eventually I removed the REDIS_HOME variable from my system variables, reinstalled Rhodes Studio and it's not working.

All that rhostudio does is call %REDIS_HOME%/redis-server to start up redis.  The redis:install task just installs redis-server binary to %REDIS_HOME%.  Somehow your environment variables and paths are not setup properly so you could try setting a REDIS_HOME variable manually and put redis-server in there.

Hi I'm using 64-bit windows, so rhomobile site´s says install rhostudio as a plugin to eclipse, the prerequisites to install the pluguin is rhodes and rhoconnect,

 I installed evesthyng but I'm stuck with redis instalation. I tried : rake redis:install  after this http://docs.rhomobile.com/rhoconnect/command-line 

but it says :

Redis comes with rhostudio so you don't need to install it.
