The best place to discuss creation of new and updated versions of the
books Reveal uses is at http://www.yanceyware.com/support/forumdisplay.php?f=14.
Reveal uses the same books as YanceyWare Reader (which is for Windows
Mobile). Once a book is made available there, we download it to our
server and make it available through Reveal Reader.

Jack, how do we go about updating the ebook download list? The Chinese BoM, D&C, and PoGP have a new translation and currently the books on the directory, but are not the ones loading from within RR.  eBook downloads Is there anyway to have RR download directly from the ebook directory directly? Many of the new books are hosted on my own website and (konglong in the forums) if that was the concern. I could help update the list of books if needed.

Hopefully the right person on the RR team will see this and update our ebook download list.

Can we get a copy of those YBK file to upload to our site? or do you
server them from a web server that we can pull from?

I'm also interested in improving ybks to work better with Reveal Reader. I'd be interested in talking to some of you to also hear your ideas.

I talked a while ago about making links in the YBK files more "finger-friendly".  As you may know, there is an option in Reveal for making links more finger-friendly by making them span the width of the page and taller.  It's not perfect though.  The code is at the mercy of the way the book is constructed.  An attempt was made to determine whether the page being displayed is a navigation/branching page (i.e., contains links for drilling further down in the book) or a leaf page like a chapter of the book. But because of inconsistencies in the header tags of a page (specifically the values assigned to the <nf> tag) sometimes leaf pages are displayed using the "finger-friendly" method which of course messes up the formatting of the page.

It would be better if the books were constructed using HTML and CSS that formats the book finger-friendly rather than depending on fragile code logic.

I'm super happy with Reveal Reader. When I first got my tablets (Novel and Herotab C8) I was unable to access Reveal Reader due to the installed markets and firmware problems. After firmware updates and side loading, I was able to get revel on both tablets. Using YanCElink, I have been able to load over 1500 books on the tablets. This created a new problem ... organization. I've been placing the books into folders but it is a long process doing one book at a time.

So this is a suggestion for some future revision of Reveal Reader. The ability to select multiple books when moving into folders.

Thank you for developing a YBK reader for Android.

Concerning the YBK books. Is there a listing available that shows the book title and the ybk file name. This would help in organizing books at the file manager level.

Thank you,
Ron Firestine

Jack, have you addressed the idea of submitting the Reveal .apk to Blackberry? Thank you

I'm sorry that I missed this post a long time ago.  I have updated the 3 titles below with the new versions.  Please verify that they are working properly and what you expect to see.
