  • The financial information that Diamond has posted has good news.  together with the current balance,  if our income continues as it has, we’ll have enough reserve to carry us for another 3 months.  So we have 8 months to effect whatever changes are needed.
  • There are some good implications for strategic planning in Diamond’s report.  Even at full rental, there isn’t enough rental income to carry the sim.   To create more rentals, we’d have to dismantle part of the sim to regain space and prims.   No one wants this, I’m sure.
  • Therefore, an obvious strategic plan is to:
  • *increase inworld revenue where we can while we…
  • *find ways to pay for the sim from RL sources.
  • *develop an over-arching strategic goal, i.e.
  • **We are the online center of academic interest in English Renaissance.  Academics, students and others interested in the period come here to exchange information and increase their appreciation of the period.  People in RL come here often for conferences, seminars and just to meet others and participate in daily life here.

Gesi, I was really excited to get those 2 emails yesterday about Ren!

We need to keep on task and motivated, especially now. Hopefully with some team effort (and volunteers) we can get Ren to pay for itself. It really is "Now or Never" if we want Ren to stay alive. (Lately tis little more than an en garde stop....)

Thanks for your help, Gesi. :)
