Hi Everybody

We have an issue in our set-up and I was wondering if anybody has come
across something similar and could help out here :)

We have a multilingual (multi-market) project in Management Server
which publishes to Delivery Server.
In delivery server a project represents a country (for example
“triumph-uk” represents UK, “triumph-be” is Belgium, etc…).
In countries like Belgium however, there are two languages (Dutch and
French). While in MS these are separate variants, in DS they are
published to the same project, just different root folders (“nl” and
“fr”).
This allows for easier management of many common features, etc…
The problem we hare having is with the 404 error page. DS allows to
specify only one 404 page per project (this is what it seems like at
least). Since Dutch is the primary language, the French version is
using the Dutch 404 page…
So, I was wondering if you have maybe come across a similar situation
and if you could recommend anything to resolve this issue? Is there a
way to specify a second 404 page and create a rule that checks for
something (for example a regex checking for something in the URL to
determine the language and serve the appropriate 404 page?)

Thanks for any help!

Dan

Hey Dan,

We had a very similar situation.  Here's what ended up working for me:

Hope that helps!

Thanks for that Walter.
I am investigating another solution at the moment and if it works then it will be much simpler for us.
Our DS projects are aware of the multiple languages (for example Belgium knows there are Dutch and French languages in the project).
So by pointing the French (secondary) language to publish the page with the same name to the same location as the Dutch 404 page, we a page with two sets of "Data" one for each language and DS is able to pick up the relevant language variant of the page.
